Using this Guide
If you've arrived at this page, you probably have to write a paper. This guide is meant to give you some ideas about how to find the best information on your subject. There are four tabs along the top of this page. The first page has some ideas about how to use this guide. The second tab gives you information about finding magazine and journal articles. The third tab provides guidance in finding KJS Library books. When you use these databases from off-campus, you may be prompted for a userid and password. Use your My.LSSU userid and password. If they don't work, make sure that you are not still using your birthdate as your password--change it and things should work! The final tab has information about, and links to, non-LSSU materials. Accompanying the lists and links is information that should give you hints about whether the tool should be helpful to you. Hopefully, this guide will make finding information for your ENGL111 class easier.
Search Everything at Once
Try using our One Search Box to find books, magazine and journal articles and other materials owned by the KJS Library. You'll also find books and articles owned by libraries in Michigan and around the world by searching this tool.
If you are asked for a userid and password, use your campus network (email) userid and password.
Don't forget to use the citation tools that are available in most of our products! If you look around, there is often a Cite This or Cite or Citation Tools button. If you're going to use that item for a paper or speech that requires a bibliography, click on the citation button and get your citation there! Double check it to make sure it's the right citation format--sometimes something needs to be tweaked, but if sure beats having to create the whole citation from scratch.
